November 7th Day of Action: Save the Date!
LAFCO's final decision regarding UCSC expansion has been rescheduled again and is now set for a public hearing November 7th. Action plans TBA. Join us on Wednesday, November 7th 2012 to form a powerful presence on behalf of the forest, the water, and our collective future!

Re-awakening of elves, forestwalkers, and this website

Jaunuary 2012: After years in hibernation, this website has returned. For now, it appears as it did in 2008, preserved for seekers of knowledge and otherwise obscure recent history.

In coniferous darkness, the council of elves, forestwalkers, scholars and grumps is in a process of meeting and visioning, as a result of some troublesome recent events. Updates, announcements, and inspirations will be posted here.

Now is the time for all those who care about the forest and the are disgusted by the idea of "The UC of Silicon Valley" to wake from our academic slumber and resist the LRDP. The "final draft" may have been signed by the Regents' fountain pens, but as yet, these plans remain nothing but a stack of papers. It is not too late to change their course.
